Malayan Science to hold 13th founding anniversary celebration

Malayan High School of Science (MHSS), one of the leading science high schools in the country, will mark its 13th founding anniversary through a week-long celebration scheduled on January 13 to 18, 2019.

Themed “MHSS at 13: Training Minds and Developing Character through DECIR,” the foundation week celebration will feature different activities involving the stakeholders of the MHSS community, students, parents, and alumni.

A family day and a parenting seminar will be held on the first day of celebration, January 13, Sunday. Meanwhile, the week-long celebration will formally start on January 14, Monday, through a mass and an opening program. Field demonstration, Laro ng Lahi, and exhibition games will be held later in the afternoon.

Chalk Festival will be the first activity on January 15, Tuesday. Science, math quiz bees, and Minute to Win It are also slated for the day. Digital poster making contest, robotics competition, and battle of the bands are the activities for the following day, January 16.

Malayans will display their singing and dancing talents through Dance Craze, Birit Malayan, and Malayan Got Talent that will be held on January 17, Thursday. Activities for January 18, Friday, include 3x3 basketball competition and robotic and animation seminar. Malayan Idol and alumni night will also be held, concluding the celebration.
