Saturday, October 17, 2009

Jan David Nicdao of I-Einstein, shares a stellar role in the Swedish movie, Mammut (also Mammoth, original title). In the film, Nicdao is Salvador, one of the sons of Gloria (Marife Necesito), who plays as a domestic helper to a successful New York couple.

Peter Ericson, a movie reviewer, hailed the performances of Necesito and Nicdao when he wrote: as a mother and her eldest son, Marife Necesito and Jan David G. Nicdao give very good, natural performances that elevate the film (Peter Ericson: Mostly Movie Reviews retrieved from http://pericson.com/2009/03/mammoth/, October 14, 2009). The film was written and directed by Lukas Moodysson and was shot in the US, Vietnam and the Philippines. The movie was released in Sweden on January 23, 2009 and it was an official entry for competition at the 59th Berlin International Film Festival held on February 5-15, 2009 (retrieved from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/59th_Berlin_International_Film_Festival, October 14, 2009 ).
