Human Resources and Administrative Office

Overview

The HR/Administrative Office is responsible for managing, directing, and implementing School administrative and HR policies. It formulates written policies, procedural manuals covering internal administration and operational activities of the Admissions Office, Health Services, Security Office, and Maintenance Office and implements HR/administrative policies on conduct, discipline and other personnel policies and operational procedures.

It is likewise responsible in strategic human resources management and development by promoting optimum performance from employees and developing the human resource capital.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Formulates written policies and procedural manuals covering internal administration and operational activities of the Admissions Office, Health Services, Security Office, and Maintenance Office; implements HR/administrative policies on conduct, discipline, and other personnel policies and operational procedures;
  • Provides overall supervision and delegates responsibilities to the staff; recommends to the principal/president the hiring, training, promotion, transfer, or dismissal through performance appraisal and/or periodic staff evaluation;
  • Promotes discipline and harmonious relationships among staff and acts as adviser on problems;
  • Establishes a standard of performance for all MHSS employees;
  • Supervises the security services in providing physical security for personnel, students, materials, properties, and installations;
  • Supervises the janitorial services for the cleanliness and upkeep of buildings and grounds.
  • Plans and undertakes research and development projects for the upgrading and enhancement of the services of the department;
  • Submits periodic reports to the president and principal regarding all the activities of the department and sets internal deadlines for submission of reports required from the department;
  • Represents MHSS in related association activities like conferences, symposium, workshops, seminars, and special training activities locally and/or internationally;
  • Performs such other pertinent duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the superior.
